Chocolate chiffon cake with whipped cream frosting –  chiffon cake that’s light as air frosted with whipped vanilla cream that’s equally light and fluffy!

In two separate bowls, whisk dry and wet ingredients until incorporated.

In a third bowl, whip egg whites with cream of tartar and sugar until stiff.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.

Gently fold egg whites into chocolate cake batter until incorporated.

Transfer the batter into baking pans and bake at 325F for 30 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly pressed.
